Leg Beans

Thanks to Jackie in Claremore for this absolutely terrific recipe! 

I now keep a smoked turkey leg in the freezer so I am ready when the bean Jones hits!!

  • 1 pound dry pinto beans or any beans you like
  • 1 Smoked Turkey Leg
  •  
  • Soak beans over night. Drain and place in crock pot. Remove skin from turkey leg and place on top of beans. Cover with water. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, until beans are tender. DO NOT STIR! When done remove turkey leg carefully. Take meat from bone, chop and return to beans. ENJOY!
